RA95.exe is a small launcher program that looks inside the text file RA95.LCF (LCF = LaunCh File)to see which program it has to start. The program specified in RA95.LCF is RA95.DAT, the real game executable.

This system is also used in DOS C&C, DOS RA, TS and RA2. In the case of RA 3.03, it is done to make RA95.EXE start the internet components install the first time RA95.exe is started.

Again though, why do you care? There's no bugs there, so what are you asking a 'fix' for?

Actually its Launcher Configuration File :P

Westwood/EA used the launcher system from RA to Renegade, and Generals too IIRC. It was so they could be used as automatic update without launching the game, faster to patch and the game does not have to be restarted in the process.

RA95.DAT is the true executable, rename it to .EXE and run it, it will work fine. HyperPatch will deploy it as a executable, removing the need for the launcher.

Hey I've got a suggestion: could you include the Red Alert 3 remix of the original Hell March (not HM3!)? It kicks ass!

BTW, do you intend on adding (have already added?) the remixes of HM, Crush, Mud, Workmen, No mercy and Radio 2 from Sole Survivor/Retaliation? What about the missing "Journey" track?

While you are working on the rotors, mind making a tag to specify new rotors, like to make one of the heilos have no rotor but the others keep theirs?

CCHyper if you wanna know something interesting i know a ingame bug that a player will rarely face at all!
Go to options set color all the way down to B&W, set contrast really high (Who plays like that?), then use the chronosphere or a Chrono Tank
(haven't tested the tank) And then watch the screen freak out! It will totally be white and you can barely see anything! lol This may be due to the extra contrast breaking the limit causing it to break but i am not sure.
Though pretty pointless but maybe interesting to look at.

Thats a forced bug, of course something like that will happen. Why they added visual controls i have no idea, useless IMO.

Since the UDP patch would it be possible to play more than 8?

Put some new colors and 5v5 :D
